A name, phone number, or address entered into a search box is submitted to the third-party provider that supplies its results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. A message sent to us contains only the information included in that message and is used to respond.
Automatically Collected Data
Like most hosted services, the site creates routine logs that can include an IP address, browser type, requested pages, and timestamps. We review aggregate patterns to maintain the service and understand page use. Cookies or comparable tools may assist basic analytics and advertising measurement where used.
How Limited Data Is Used
That limited information helps operate the service, diagnose errors, measure aggregate traffic, and improve the reference pages. We do not sell lists of visitors or create individual visitor profiles.
Outside Links and Tools
Links may lead to county or state records portals, libraries, archives, and third-party search tools. The privacy rules of those destinations govern information submitted there. That includes sponsored results supplied by a third party.
Who Can Process Data
Hosting and support providers may process server logs on our behalf. Analytics and advertising partners can receive the automatic data described above. Information is disclosed when valid legal process requires disclosure and not for other reasons.
Data Protection
The site uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. Because no visitor accounts exist, the site does not maintain a visitor password or account profile.
Visitors Under 18
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. Contact us if a minor may have sent information so it can be deleted.
Your Information Choices
Depending on where you live, law may give you rights to access, correct, or delete personal data a service keeps about you. Because we keep very little, a request usually involves checking the contact mailbox and relevant server logs, then removing information we locate. Use the Contact page to ask. Records held by Massachusetts state, county, or city custodians are outside our control, and requests about those records belong with the custodian.
